“Talbot Interferometer for multi-modal X-ray imaging”


microworks receives a grant within the ZIM-solo scheme from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) to explore ways to substantially increase its share in the value chain of X-ray grating applications.

„We want to develop the market for Talbot Interferometers by supplying not only gratings but modularized components consisting of gratings, holders, active elements and simple to integrate software to build up such systems“, says Marco Walter, development engineer at microworks and responsible for the project.

„We can look back at several years of experience in making excellent gratings for optical and X-ray applications” comments Managing Director Dr. Joachim Schulz. “We want to serve the market needs for integrated parts into sub-systems which subsequently will become standardized components”, he adds.
