The State of Baden-Württemberg supports microworks' and KIT's initiative to further develop gratings for phase-contrast imaging
Thomas Duttenhofer has received a 12-month grant to develop large-area gratings using the LIGA technique. Such gratings are needed to further explore the potential use of phase-contrast imaging in medical diagnostics. The grant will be jointly funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg through its economic stimulus plan "MINT-Sofortprogramm" and by microworks. Thomas Duttenhofer finished his studies in sensor technology at the University of Applied Science, Karlsruhe in the fall of 2009 and completed his diploma thesis at the Institute for Microstructure Technology, KIT.
