Otto Haxel Award for Innovation

The Freundeskreis des Forschungszentrums Karlsruhe (Friends of the Karlsruhe Research Centre) conferred its prestigious Otto Haxel Award for Innovation on Dr. Pascal Meyer and Dr. Jürgen Mohr of KIT/IMT and Thomas Beckenbach and Dr. Joachim Schulz of Microworks.

The jury stated that the prize was jointly granted for their “outstanding achievements in the further development of X-ray LIGA technology in view of market needs with a focus on industrial and medical applications”. While accepting the award, Dr. Schulz, managing director of Microworks, praised the culture of cooperation at KIT/IMT, whereby the common use of equipment and exchange of know-how have created a classic win-win situation.
