“Hyper Resolution X-Ray Phase Imaging” – microworks receives funding for a joint R&D project together with KIT/IMT, Tohoku University and Hamamatsu Photonics
Microworks’ success on the market has been driven by applications of microstructures used in X-ray imaging. Interest in phase-contrast and dark-field imaging continues to grow thanks to microworks’ X-ray gratings, which make it possible to obtain detailed, in-depth information on an object’s microstructure. With the HyReXPhI initiative, microworks will prepare the next generation of X-ray imaging using only phase gratings. Microworks’ Managing Director Dr. Joachim Schulz says, “Excellent partners with relevant and excellent competences are key to the success of this project.”
A total of 35 proposals were submitted in response to a joint call for proposals by BMBF (German Ministry of Education and Research) and JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency). Three projects were chosen for funding, including HyReXPhI.
